The Happy Song

Verse 1
Tired of people talking, negative endless squawking
Hit the mute button, for a day
Before you interrupt, let me be abrupt
If you would hold your tongue, I’ll gladly pay
From this sunrise until it sets
Cancel all the debts and the bets
Take timeout troubles and regrets
I just want to walk with you.

Verse 2
So many tears, amplifying fears
Sensational headlines, on the news
Pull the plug, kill the power, take a cold shower
And spare yourself the pain of others views
The moon is rising in the sky
To all our woe say goodbye
For this moment the end isn’t nigh
I just want to dance with you

Mid Bit
Verse 3
Give yourself some space, pull out of the race
Ignore the egos shouting in your face
Rip up the to do list, sure it won’t be missed
Right here and now is the better place
Say tatty bye to the past
Who cares if we are last
Turn the volume up to full blast
I just want to sing with you
