Consruct

Verse 1

A state of terrible torture, to comprehend despair

And push a pretend persona, in mimicry of care

The material lost its meaning, questionable now the quest

Pointless possessions lie dormant; it all seems so second best

Verse 2

Those rampant swarms of mechanisation, service no longer required

The logic locusts they don’t complain, just what the master desired

A life’s ambition redundant, and acquisition repossessed

What was built with these hands, the profit priest unblessed

Mid Bit

In this space I shall seek

Close my mind to the bleak

Take time out to look around

Let this created mask fall to the ground

Look into your eyes and see beyond

Between the differences find a bond

We are all atoms so what really matters?

Before cosmic forces our awareness scatters

In the vacuum of space we can dance

On this oasis we have the chance

Find expression articulate

To feel love, procreate

Verse 3

I sit with a blank page, feeling drained and desolate

Fearful of all the ailments, that will surely seal my fate

On air, online and digital, a constant negative stream

Parade of the paranoid and mouthpiece for the mean

Verse 4

The god that I once believed in, is intellectually retired

Glorified are the deceiving, whilst the sacred it is fired

What message for my children, to win at all cost?

Is it any wonder, that innocence gets lost?
